Originally trained as an
Architect, Delon Hon is a 3rd generation Bruneian
business owner. Delon is currently the principal of
James Hon Marketing and Management, where he
specialises in education consultancy. Delon’s main
responsibility is to manage and oversee the
recruitment strategy, market research and
coordinating marketing activities in Brunei for his
extensive portfolio of British universities. Delon’s
office also serves as a liaison between Brunei
Government agencies and British universities. Some
of the British partners he works with include St
Andrew’s University, Exeter University, Bristol
University, Birmingham University and many more.
Delon’s office is a wholly Bruneian
owned and operated firm. They are registered with
the Ministry of Education and have an excellent
working relationship with the department of
scholarship. Delon have two offices based in Kiulap
and Kuala Belait.
As part of his role, Delon travels
extensively between Brunei and the UK. Each year he
would crisscross the British Isles to update on
university developments and to check on the well
being of Bruneian students. Delon is widely known as
the ‘Marco Polo’ among his British institutions.
Whilst in Brunei, Delon’s role
involves speaking to students, parents, careers
advisors, schools on a daily basis and dealing with
a wide range of enquiries on all aspects of studying
in the UK. In addition, his office also welcomes
over 40 visitors from the UK each year to meet
prospective students and sponsors in Brunei. |
