Stephen Phillips
First Secretary Defence Cooperation
UK
Trade and Investment (UKTI)
British High Commission
|
Stephen Phillips is
responsible for the whole UK Trade and Investment portfolio
at the British High Commission, not just the Defence and
Security sectors. He arrived in Brunei Darussalam in
October 2010 from the UK Ministry of Defence, where his last
post concerned UK-French defence acquisition collaboration.
But his background is not just in Defence as he started out
in oil exploration, in Angola and the North Sea. Stephen
also spent ten years with a UK based consultancy providing
remote sensing and geographic information systems expertise
primarily to development bank funded projects, notably in
Jordan, Eritrea and Pakistan. Stephen’s interests include
sailing, hiking, and the natural environment.
